  Orthodontic TrackThe goal of Dr. Gerber’s extended comprehensive Orthodontic Program is  to effectively integrate orthodontics into the general or pediatric practice. For over 20 years he has successfully taught thousands of dentists in this rewarding discipline. Orthodontics has always been recognized as high profit area for pediatric dentists and now general dentists are also finding out about the benefits of adding this rapid growth area. You can take the introductory course or begin at the master's level if you already provide orthodontic services.

Advanced Diagnosis                       OR 2A                                       View Agenda
    Dr. Richard Beistle is the innovator of the Sassouni Plus System and has been teaching with Orthodontic Studies and the USDI for nearly 20 years. His 2 day course will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the “Orthodontic Practice Builder Group”. Course topics include: Meaning Cephalometrics; TMJ Cephalometrics Radiograph, Oxymoron or Opportunity?; the arch form axiom “Gothic to Roman”; and various other treatment methods .Dr Beistle’s lecture will emphasize the key to modern diagnosis – the condition of the Maxilla.                               L, P, 7 hours

Case Finishing                                 OR 2B

    In this 2 day course, you will learn how to finish to the highest standards – correct midlines, over-jet, over-bite, functional occlusion, and straight-wire mechanics and retention. You will be taught how to achieve the most ideal vertical and A-P correction in your cases. Dr. Gerber will teach you new techniques that relate orthodontics with fixed aesthetics and the mechanics required in a timely manner. You will also gain special knowledge in the use of composite build-ups for the mandibular advancement. Clear braces and invisible appliances will also be covered and both doctors and assistants should attend the course.     L, 14 hours

Problem Solvers                             OR 2C                                       View Agenda
Discover how to solve those little and sometimes big issues that can prevent you from properly finishing a case. You’ll learn how to be more proficient with functionals and straight wire, impactions, Class III, and open bite. This course will provide you with the tools necessary to expand your treatment options and allow you to make mid-stream corrections without wasting time. You’ll also be taught how to use the latest development in orthodontics – self-ligation brackets. Dr. Gerber will also take time to review any cases you currently have and need some help with.    L, 21 hours

Master Sliding Mechanics               OR 2D                                       View Agenda
Dr. Gerber’s straight wire and sliding mechanics course will teach you how to apply the most modern bracketing appliances including the newest LX self-ligating system, advanced arch wire construction, bends, loops, and SW manipulations. This one-of-a-kind course includes extensive wire bending exercises that are missing in most other courses available today. If you are weak on SW mechanics or just need to increase the speed at which you deliver “fixed” treatment, this course is just right for you. After attending this intense, 3-day seminar, you will return to work on Monday and promptly integrate the new skills you have just learned into your practice.      L, P, 20 hours
