Orthodontic Track
Straight Wire & Functional Appliances - NFO Diagnostics
 
  Orthodontic TrackThe goal of Dr. Gerber’s extended comprehensive Orthodontic Program is  to effectively integrate orthodontics into the general or pediatric practice. For over 20 years he has successfully taught thousands of dentists in this rewarding discipline. Orthodontics has always been recognized as high profit area for pediatric dentists and now general dentists are also finding out about the benefits of adding this rapid growth area. You can take the introductory course or begin at the master's level if you already provide orthodontic services.

Introduction to Orthodontics         OR 1A                                        View Agenda
This two day class designed to introduce the general or pediatric dentist to orthodontics. Instruction includes: diagnosis case selection for the GP, Straight Wire type braces, and functional appliances. This session is especially designed to provide you with the necessary tools to successfully integrate orthodontics into your practice. Instruction centers on developing the skills necessary to accomplish this end. Projects, exercises and techniques to be covered include arch analysis, Sassouni Plus cephalometrics, straight wire type braces, functional appliances and much more. L, P, 14 hours

Advanced Level II                           OR 1B                                     View Agenda
You can immediately continue from the previous introductory course or you can enter here if you have already developed introductory skills. Dr. Gerber’s advanced level is composed of two sessions over six full days plus evening case reviews. You will learn SW mechanics, NFO occlusion for finishing, pediatric and early treatment, and treat to TMD dysfunctions.  This course covers the bases when it comes to orthodontic mechanics and advance finishing. L, P, 45 hours

Assistant Training Level I               OA 1
The first session will focus on developing the basic skills that will enable the orthodontic staff member to successfully integrate orthodontic assisting into your practice. Instruction will be practical and include active participation by each course participant. Projects, exercises and techniques to be covered include: complete record taking, photography, model & arch analysis. Assistants will learn about tooth movement, placement of braces & bands, separators, tooth anatomy, functional appliance adjustments and basic arch wire construction including the Utility Arch. Instructors – Doctor Gerber’s certified staff. This 2 day class is presented in conjunction with Dr. Gerber’s Advanced Level orthodontic course during session two or during the Master’s session at various USA locations.
